Stimulus to Pay For National Mall That Was Trashed
The stimulus that just passed the House of non representitives is going to have almost $21 million dollars allocated towards the reconstruction of the National Mall that was almost destroyed during Obama's coronation. Try finding that story in the MSM...

Given the large number of people who voluntarily attended Obama's inauguration (a coronation is what happens when a leader is NOT elected through the democratic process), it went remarkably smoothly. There wasn't a single arrest.
ReplyDeleteSo did rampaging crowds of Obama supporters (or were they supposedly protesters?) destroy the National Mall? I don't think so. You won't find the sthat story in the MSM, because it didn't happen. I wasn't there, but my mother was, and she gave me a first hand report. Apparently the worst part of attending the inauguration was that the crowd control made it very slow to leave. There wasn't violence against people or property, as you seem to be implying.
But secondly, I'm hard pressed to think of a better way to create jobs than a project like this. What's more, it wouldn't require a new gov't program, it would be a one time expense, and it would employ people who might otherwise be collecting unemployment.
Finally, I think Congress has to allocate $ towards the upkeep of the National Mall. It needs upkeep, and I'm not sure who else is supposed to be in charge of that.
