More Thoughts On How The Dems Distract You From Whats Really Happening

We can objectively conclude this morning that the Democrats are trying to distract attention from their failures by pointing fingers at Rush Limbaugh.

Yesterday afternoon, it reached a level of absurdness — so absurd that we can conclude the “blame Rush” strategy has become an instinctive reflex for Democrats without regard to fact.

Next time a notably Democrat staffer from the Democrat Congressional Campaign Committee heads off to a crisis pregnancy center after a drunken night at Tortilla Coast, it’ll no longer be the mail man getting the blame, but Rush. It has gotten that reflexive and ridiculous.

The case in point today is this Associated Press article.


A Democratic official rebuked conservative commentator Rush Limbaugh on Friday for suggesting a health care proposal will be named in memory of Sen. Edward Kennedy, who is battling brain cancer. On his radio show, Limbaugh said President Barack Obama’s proposed health care revisions will be championed by “the liberal lion Teddy Kennedy.”

“Before it’s all over, it’ll be called the Ted Kennedy Memorial Health Care bill,” Limbaugh said.

Brian Wolff, executive director of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, called the remark outrageous and reprehensible.

First of all, everyone knows the Democrats will do this. They can’t help themselves. The Democrats and Republicans both name legislation after victims. The Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2007 was known as the Matthew Shepard Act — after the homosexual teenager who’d been murdered. The Jessica Lundsford Act is legislation that “mandates a minimum sentence of 25 years and a maximum of life in prison for first-time child sex offenders.” The Blair Holt’s Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2007 is named after a boy who used his body as a shield to take bullets, protecting other children at a Chicago school.

Kennedy, the “liberal lion,” is a natural choice for this. Rush is smart enough to know it. We all are. Poor old Brian Wolff just went through that instinctive reflex — never mind that the DCCC is trying to raise money off attacking Rush and this is another element to it. And never mind that the Democrat strategy for the past several weeks has been to blame Rush, shining the spotlight on him, as a distraction from what they are actually doing, i.e. raping and pillaging the American Dream.

But why is this even a story? The Democrats have already said they intend to name this legislation after Kennedy. And they did so way back on January 13, 2009.

A spokeswoman for one of the architects of a national health care bill said that any legislation that emerges would be named after Kennedy.

“He wouldn’t name it for himself, but the majority of the body working on the legislation would say he’s devoted his life to it,” said Jude McCartin, a spokeswoman for Sen. Jeff Bingaman, D-N.M., a member of Kennedy’s committee. “Now that we’re on the verge of doing something major, the naming of the legislation should reflect his longstanding involvement.”

“But … but … but,” the Democrats sputter. “Rush said memorial. He’s not dead yet.” So? Considering Kennedy has been absent from the Senate and what we know about his condition and what we know about the length of time it’ll take to write and pass this legislation, does anyone really think he’s going to be around much longer?

Seriously?

This is just another opportunity for the Democrats to blame Rush in an effort to distract the American people from their plans to further rape and pillage the American Dream. Oh, and Brian Wolff is an idiot.

Note to Brian Wolff: when your elected leaders have already said they intend to do what Rush Limbaugh speculated they would do, perhaps you should either hurl invective at them or shut the hell up.

These guys just can’t help driving their short bus straight to hell.
